WS 1 – Samstag, 05.08.23, 11:00-14:00 – „Tango Ideas“ mit Julia

Jeder kennt das Bild des eng umschlungenen Tangopaares mit den fliegenden Beinen. Füße und Beine spielen die Hauptrolle im Tango Argentino und machen die Charakteristik des Tanzes aus. Im FCBD® Style und vielen Fusion Stilen hingegen sind Füße und Beine vor allem ein Werkzeug. Sie werden in Pantaloons und unter Röcken versteckt und dienen vor allem der Fortbewegung und als Motor für die Hüfte. In diesem Workshop schauen wir uns die Ästhetik und Tanz-Technik des Tango Argentino an und wie man sie in die unterschiedlichen Bellydance-Stile integrieren kann. Wir lernen verschiedene Verzierungen und typische Tango-Kombinationen, sowie Beispiele, wie man sie ohne Partner tanzen kann.Wir lernen die Musik des Tangos kennen, welche Musikstile es gibt, wie man dazu tanzt und welche Musikart für welchen Bellydancestyle geeignet ist.

Am Ende verpacken wir das Ganze in einer kleinen Kombi im FCBD® Style. Mit Vorkenntnissen in anderen Bellydance-Stilen lässt sich diese Kombi ebenfalls leicht erlernen.

WS 2 – Samstag, 05.08.23, 14:30-15:30 – „Game of Chorus“ with Eleen Kim (in English)

FCBD® Style is a dance language to communicate your movements with others.In this workshop, we will focus on chorus playing.We will select some specific steps, pay attention to the technique and bring out each step´s character to present your leadership and teamwork.

WS 4 - Sonntag. 06.08.23, 15:30-18:30 - "Skirt & Fan" with Eleen Kim (in English)

Eleen will offer a comprehensive FCBD® Style Flamenco-inspired dialect from Siren project: Fan and Skirt - new addition created by the well-known artist Katatzyna Lidia.

The Fan is one of the magic props in FCBD® Style, that can help dancers develop the dance in a more elegant and flexible way. When fan and skirt come with both hands, this combination can be very joyful, beautiful, and challenging.

During the workshop, we break down the fan steps and skirt steps, from rhythmic undulation, swivel family, triangle family to Devimamak steps. And some brand new!

We will prepare a combo with a piece of music, that you can use in your own performance or for practice.

This Dialect is very flexible and can match very different styles of music. We will also dance it in three variations:skirt, fan separately, skirt and fan together with the same music!

During my professional interpreter career (Korean and Chinese) in Shenzhen, China, I discovered ATS (now FCBD) in Beijing in 2010. I was immediately fascinated by this intercultural dance style: I fell in love with the concept, tolerance and connection created between dancers. To me, FCBD represents the power of women‘s beauty, connects pure energy to the universe, earth and myself.

In 2016, I founded „The Tribal Bridge China Dance Association“ in order to organize the FCBD international festival in Shenzhen, China.

Besides, I‘m honored to be the first representative and ambassador for the „Siren Project Dialect“ overseas. Moreover I‘m the core FCBD-instructor at OT pur as well as an FCBD-certified-sister-studio since 2022.

During the last few years, I committed myself to develop intercultural, inspiring, classic and modern dialects in FCBD dance style. This includes basket, fan, manton and skirt dialects.

To this day, I still continue studying with beloved FCBD-experts from all over the world.
